On the second Monday of each month, the Batavia Lyceum Association hosts a discussion on a variety of topics. Doors open at 6:00 p.m., discussion begins at 7:00 p.m. This is the last presentation of the 25-26 season, we meet again in October.

This month Matt Holm presents, "Batavia’s Charlie Chemes’ WWII Journal"

A member of the 59th Armored Field Artillery Battalio, The Black Rams, Charlie served in ITaly, France and Germany, 1943-45. Matt will share the transcribing process of this presentation; some fun mysteries; and Charlies words as he puts his service into the context of the Allied drive through Europes' 'Soft Underbelly'

Remember when when last year's beer garden opening almost didn't happen because the singer fell ill and we put out the ^D^ signal? (That's kinda like a bat signal, but with Dante ears, lol) A few answered, one band full of talented, easy going professional made the stress melt away into a great evening. That band was the The Bart Attacks, and we're stoked to have them back, early this Beer Garden season!
